Background: As the population age structure gradually ages, more and more elderly people were found to have pulmonary nodules during physical examinations. Most elderly people had underlying diseases such as heart, lung, brain and blood vessels and cannot tolerate surgery. Computed tomography (CT)-guided percutaneous core needle biopsy (CNB) was the first choice for pathological diagnosis and subsequent targeted drugs, immune drugs or ablation treatment. CT-guided percutaneous CNB requires clinicians with rich CNB experience to ensure high CNB accuracy, but it was easy to cause complications such as pneumothorax and hemorrhage. Three-dimensional (3D) printing coplanar template (PCT) combined with CT-guided percutaneous pulmonary CNB biopsy has been used in clinical practice, but there was no prospective, randomized controlled study. Methods: Elderly patients with lung nodules admitted to the Department of Oncology of our hospital from January 2019 to January 2023 were selected. A total of 225 elderly patients were screened, and 30 patients were included after screening. They were randomly divided into experimental group (Group A: 30 cases) and control group (Group B: 30 cases). Group A was given 3D-PCT combined with CT-guided percutaneous pulmonary CNB biopsy, Group B underwent CT-guided percutaneous pulmonary CNB. The primary outcome measure of this study was the accuracy of diagnostic CNB, and the secondary outcome measures were CNB time, number of CNB needles, number of pathological tissues and complications. Results: The diagnostic accuracy of group A and group B was 96.67% and 76.67%, respectively (P = 0.026). There were statistical differences between group A and group B in average CNB time (P = 0.001), number of CNB (1 vs more than 1, P = 0.029), and pathological tissue obtained by CNB (3 vs 1, P = 0.040). There was no statistical difference in the incidence of pneumothorax and hemorrhage between the two groups (P > 0.05). Conclusions: 3D-PCT combined with CT-guided percutaneous CNB can improve the punctur
This article presents a pragmatic quadcopter development template for parcel delivery in Nigeria. The quadcopter is equipped with a camera, parcel pouch and wireless telecommunication to capture live events and send them back to the control station for real-time delivery feedback. The study also discusses the design methodology adopted as a conceptual design approach vital to product development, it encompasses information gathering and identifying the problem, creating the solutions systematically and eventually evaluating and developing a concept for the drone and its attributes and presenting clear results for design calculations.
Sulphur(S)-template method based on conventional slurry-casting method has been developed to pro-duce porous silicon(Si)electrodes. The facile fabrication technology is suitable for current production line and expected to be widely applied to various electrode materials under large volume change during operation.Specifically,S particles as template agent are mixed with active material Si,carbon conductor and binder forming uniform slurry. After casting and drying, the electrodes are immersed in carbon disul-fide solution to remove S particles rapidly, generating pores in-situ at the original position of S particles.Electrochemical analysis shows that the pores inside electrodes are able to shorten lithium ion diffusion paths, reduce normal expansion rate and decrease formation of cracks in the Si electrode(2 mg_(Si)/cm^(2)),demonstrating a reversible capacity of 951 mAh/g at 0.5 A/g after 100 cycles(with a capacity retention of 99.5%)and a capacity of-826 mAh/g at 2 A/g.
The expansion of protein topological diversity requires new and efficient synthetic tools.Herein,we report the second and third generations of the SpyStapler-mediated SpyTag/BDTag ligation system for the efficient synthesis of 4-arm star proteins and the repurposing of the third generation as an active template to enable the synthesis of higher-order protein[n]catenanes(n=3,4,and 5).SpyStapler003 has a higher affinity to its cognate SpyTag and BDTag reactive pairs relative to the original SpyStapler.Hence,it can overcome much more profound steric hindrance in protein ligation and improve the efficiency of the resulting active template tool to facilitate the construction of radial protein[n]catenanes.Various proteins of interest, such as dihydrofolate reductase and the nanobody KN035,can be modularly incorporated into the[n]catenanes with intact activity.Combination of passive and active template strategies gives rise to linear protein[4]catenanes,which further expands the current topological diversity.Moreover,higher-order protein catenation not only leads to enhanced thermal stability and proteolytic resistance but also higher affinity of the nanobody via multivalent effects. Our study provides tools useful for bioconjugation and new topological protein scaffolds for the multivalent display of enzymes and antibodies.
In this study,we present a supramolecular templating approach for constructing polyimidazolium salt containing crown ether and cyclobutane moieties. This strategy involves the formation of metal-carbene templates, photochemical cycloaddition, and subsequent demetallation of metal ions.Driven by the host-guest chemistry between crown ether units and ammonium salts,we successfully fabricated a supramolecular polymer SPN1,which features imidazolium receptors and cyclobutane units. The obtained SPN1 demonstrates outstanding reversible stimulus-response,antibacterial behavior and conductivity.

Bacterial infection is recognized as one of the biggest global health threats, causing millions of people's death every year(Wang et al.,2020).Traditional antibiotics-based therapies have been widely utilized to control this issue(Kohanski et al.,2010);however,their excessive use leads to the emergence of antibioticresistant bacteria, endangering to human health(Levy and Marshall,2004).
Constructing controllable thermal conduction networks is the key to efficiently improve thermal conductivities of polymer composites. In this work, graphite oxide(GO)and functionalized carbon nanotubes(f-CNTs)are combined to prepare“Line-Plane”-like hetero-structured thermally conductive GO@f-CNTs fillers, which are then performed to construct controllable 3D GO@f-CNTs thermal conduction networks via selfsacrificing template method based on oxalic acid.Subsequently, thermally conductive GO@f-CNTs/polydimethylsiloxane(PDMS)composites are fabricated via casting method. When the size of oxalic acid is 0.24 mm and the volume fraction of GO@f-CNTs is 60 vol%,GO@f-CNTs/PDMS composites present the optimal thermal conductivity coefficient(λ,4.00 W·m^(-1)·K^(-1)),about 20 times that of theλof neat PDMS(0.20 W·m^(-1)·K^(-1)),also much higher than theλ(2.44 W·m^(-1)·K^(-1))of GO/f-CNTs/PDMS composites with the same amount of randomly dispersed fillers.Meanwhile, the obtained GO@f-CNTs/PDMS composites have excellent thermal stability, whoseλdeviation is only about 3%after 500 thermal cycles(20-200℃).
