From 1986 to 1993, our department hadtreated the fol1owing cases of congenital diaphmatichernia: 2 ma1e P8tients, l female patienti 2newborns, 1 infant- The 2 newborns weremisdiagnased as baby pneumonia, treated withoutimProvement. The irifant had been treated inhospital twice and was misdiagnosed as bronchitisand nutritional anemias- The illness was diagnosedas diaphragmatic hernia through chest negative andesophagus barium fluorocopy,which was proved tobe esophagus opening hold hernia throghoperatlon.
