Five compounds were isolated from the root of Astragalus floridus Benth. collected from Qinghai province, they were identified with spectral analysis and chemical methods as astrasiversianin Ⅴ (1), astragaloside Ⅳ (2), astragaloside Ⅱ(3), astrasiversianin Ⅵ(4), astramembrannin Ⅱ(5). Pharmacological test showed that astragaloside Ⅳ cound improve heart failure significantly.
