Objective:To study the incidenee and clinical features of N Peroneus communis and its branches’damage in leprosy.Methods:Examine 275 cases of cured leprosy Results:The incidence of N peroneus communis was 59 27%(163/275)or 46 18%(254/550).The incidence of N peroneus superficialis damage was 52 36%(144/275)or 39 64%(218/550).The incidence of N peroneus profundus damage was 44 36%(122/275)or 33 45%(184/550).The damage of N peroneus communis and its branches express a spectrum characteristic and has a trend of gradually higher with the duration of leprosy diseased.The clinical features is characterized with sense impairment,more often than motor impairment.Conclusion:These nerve damages were more frequently seen in leprosy and its damage features are useful to diagnose and types dividing and to find whether the nerves are in high risk. The authors consider that early-detection,early diagnosis and early treatment are still the most important measure to control leprosy disability.
