A novel cobalt complex,[Co2(bptc)(bix)1.5](1,H4bptc=3,3',4,4'-biphenyltetra-carboxylic acid, bix = 1,4-bis(imidazol-1-ylmethyl)benzene),has been hydrothermally prepared and characterized by IR spectroscopy, elemental analysis and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The crystal is of triclinic system, space group P1 with a=10.770(7),b=12.245(8),c=13.514(9),α=102.829(8),β=107.734(8),γ=98.833(9)°,C37H27N6O8Co2,Mr=801.51,V=1607.5(18)3,Dc=1.656g/cm3,F(000)=818,μ=1.100mm-1,Z=2,the final R = 0.0694 and wR = 0.1543 for 3034 observed reflections(I2σ(I)).In the title complex, the two Co(Ⅱ) ions are in different coordination environments with distorted octahedral and trigonal bipyramidal geometries, respectively. The Co atoms are linked together through hexadentate bptc ligands, giving rise to 2D layers which are bridged by the bix ligands into a 3-D supramolecular network.Magnetic susceptibilities of 1 reveal weak antiferromagnetic exchange interactions between the adjacent Co(Ⅱ) ions.
A 4d-4f heterometallic coordination polymer, [AgNd(pydc)2].2H2O (1) (H2pydc=pyridine-3,4-dicarboxylic acid), was synthesized under hydrothermal conditions, and fimher characterized by elemental analysis, IR, thermogravimetric analysis and single-crystal X-ray dif- fraction. Complex 1 featured a three-dimensional (3D) framework containing one-dimensional (1D) channels occupied by free water molecules, which was constructed from 1D inorganic heterometallic chains and linear pydc linkers. To our knowledge, complex 1 represented a rare example of 3D open-framework 4d-4f heterometallic coordination polymer. After removal of the water molecules fi'om complex 1, the remaining material had high thermal stability. Moreover, the near-infrared luminescent properties of 1 were also investigated in the solid state.
The self-assembly of 5-bromoisophthalic acid (H2BIPA) with Tb(NO3)3·6H2O under hydrothermal conditions gives rise to a 3D coordination polymer, [Tb2(BIPA)3(CH3CH2OH)]n (1), which was characterized by elemental analysis, IR and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The crystal is of monoclinic system, space group P21/c with a = 19.2591(17), b = 8.2537(7), c = 18.5663(17), β = 104.4720(10)°, V = 2857.6(4)3, C26H15Br3O13Tb2, Mr = 1092.95, Dc = 2.540 g/cm3, F(000) = 2040, μ = 9.173 mm-1 and Z = 4. The final R = 0.0324 and wR = 0.0767 for 5299 observed reflections (I 〉 2σ(I)). Complex 1 displays an unusual three-dimensional (4,6)-connected network with (48.66.8)2(44.62)2(42.84) topology, which is different from [Tb(HBDC)(BDC)(H2O)4]·3.3H2O (BDC = isophthalate) because the -Br substituent of isophthalate results in different electronic effect and steric hindrance to change the coordination modes of carboxylate groups in the assembly process. Moreover, luminescent properties of 1 have also been investigated in the solid state.
A novel coordination polymer,[Pr2(BIPA)3(H2O)2].2H2O(1)(H2BIPA=5-bromoisophthalic acid),was prepared by hydrothermal synthesis and characterized by IR spectroscopy,elemental analysis and single-crystal X-ray diffraction.The crystal was of monoclinic system,space group C2/c,with a=1.98037(14),b=1.44189(14),c=2.15281(18) nm,β=95.220(2)°,V=6.1218(9) nm3,C24H17Br3O16Pr2,Mr=1082.93,Dc= 2.350 g/cm3,F(000)=4096,μ=7.136 mm-1 and Z=8.The final R1=0.0608 and wR2=0.1371 for 5624 observed reflections(I2σ(I)).Complex 1 featured an interesting 2D layer containing {Pr2(CO2)3}n right-handed and left-handed helical chains.Furthermore,hydrogen bonds linked the adjacent 2D layers to form a 3D supramolecular framework.Moreover,the near-infrared luminescent properties of 1 were also investigated in the solid state.
A one-dimensional zigzag chain complex of Cd(FA)(pyim)(H2O) (1) (H2FA=4,4′-(hexafluoroisopropylidene)bis(benzoic acid) and pyim=2-(2-pyridyl)imidazole) was hydrothermal synthesized from Cd(NO3)2·4H2O, 4,4′- (hexafluoroisopropylidene)bis (benzoic acid) and 2-(2-pyridyl)imidazole. Single-crystal X-ray analysis revealed that the zigzag chains of 1 are linked into three-dimensional supramolecular networks by both O-H …O hydrogen- bonds and π…π stacking interactions. The crystal is of monoclinic, space group P21/n with a=0.856 34(10) nm, b=1.020 49(12) nm, c=2.809 0(3) nm, β=98.115(2)°, V=2.430 2(5) nm3, Dc=1.820 g·cm-3, Z=4, F(000)=1 320, Goof= 1.009, R1 =0.047 0, wR2 =0.115 5. In addition, complex 1 exhibits strong photoluminescent emission at room temperature. CCDC: 733837.
