This letter presents excited state intramolecular proton transfer (ESIPT) of new conjugated derivatives containing hydroxy and imino groups. ESIPT occurrence in one photon process is confirmed by well-separated emission band for the derivatives. Two- photon absorption (TPA) induced ESIPT emission has been determined by Ti:sapphire femtosecond laser tuning from 700 nrn to 800 nm at the internals of 20 nm.

New two-photon absorption dyes including benzophenone parts, p-N,N-diphenylamino-p'-phenacylstilbene (C1), 4,4-di-(4- benzoylstyrene)yltriphenylamine (C2) and 4,4',4'-tri(4-benzoylstyrene)yltriphenylamine (C3), were synthesized and characterized by ^1H NMR and elemental analysis. The ratio of the molar extinction coefficients of compounds was approximately equal to the ratio of the branch amount of the compounds, namely, C1:C2:C3 was 1:2:3. Extremely high fluorescence quantum yields were detected for these compounds. These molecules exhibited obvious two-photon upconcerted fluorescence as excited by 800 nm Ti:sapphire femtosecond laser.
This letter reports the influence of branches and bromine substitution of the photosensitizers on one-and two-photon absorption generation of singlet oxygen.Near-infrared femtosecond Ti:squassier laser was utilized to determine two-photon properties of the photosensitizers tuning wavelength from 700 to 880 nm at intervals of 20 nm.One-and two-photon optical and photophysical properties of the photosensitizers show significant dependence on the branches and substituted bromine atoms.

We have presented the synthesis and characterization of three new bromo substituted stilbene derivatives, p-3,4,5-trimethoxy-p′- 2,3,4,5,6-pentabromostilbene (C1), p-N,N-dimethylamino-p′-2,3,4,5,6-pentabromostilbene (C2) and p-N,N-diphenylamino-p′- 2,3,4,5,6-pentabromostilbene (C3) in this letter. The UV/vis absorption and photoluminescence were investigated in various solvents. The maximal absorption wavelength of C1 exhibited blue-shift to those of C2 and C3 in different solvents. No florescence emission could be detected for these compounds at room temperature. Singlet oxygen could be efficiently produced with these sensitizers under near-ultraviolet and visible light irradiation.
