A novel DNA cleavage conjugate of bromoarene and polyamide containing three N-methylimidazole rings was synthesized by the chloroform reaction and the DCC/HOBT coupling reaction.
In this research, an unusually dimeric G-quadruplex of d(GGGTGGGTGGGTGGGT) (SI), the potent nanomolar HIV-1 integrase inhibitor, was detected by nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR). This result has been confirmed by electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (ESI-MS) and circular dichroism (CD).
