随着大众群体健康意识的不断上升,以及短视频科普的流行,英文医学科普动画短片以其生动形象、简单易懂的优势成为医学科普的优选。而要把深奥晦涩的医学知识以通俗易懂的方式传播,其字幕翻译的质量极为重要。本文以张德禄教授构建的多模态话语理论为框架,从文化、语境、内容和表达四个方面对英文医学科普动画短片中的字幕翻译进行分析,探寻在该理论指导下的字幕翻译策略,以期为医学科普教育贡献绵薄之力。With the continuous rise of public health awareness and the popularity of short video science popularization, English medical science animation short films have become the best choice for medical science popularization with their vivid images, simple and easy to understand advantages. The quality of subtitle translation is extremely important for the dissemination of obscure medical knowledge in an easy-to-understand manner. Based on the multimodal discourse theory constructed by Professor Zhang Delu, this paper analyzes subtitle translation in English medical popular science animated short films from four aspects: culture, context, content and expression, and explores subtitle translation strategies under the guidance of this theory, with a view to contributing to medical popular science education.
